The 2016 Pensado Awards, an award show acknowledging today's emerging brand of music professional and "recognizing the faces behind the sound" confirmed co-hosts include Taryn Manning, Chris Lord-Alge, Derek "MixedbyAli" Ali, Gavin Lurssen and Samantha Maloney.

TARYN MANNING
Taryn Manning is a go-to favorite of the entertainment industry. Juggling a cohesive acting career, Manning is also a music artist whose's single 'Send Me Your Love' has topped Billboards Dance charts. Flying coast to coast smashing her DJ sets, Manning also adds accomplished designer to her long list of credits. Manning is a true force with her unique sound as the front woman of Boomkat which parallels the eclectic electronic style in her solo tracks.

CHRIS LORD-ALGE
Chris Lord-Alge is a five-time GRAMMY®-winning engineer with a long career including work with some of the biggest and most diverse names in music: from Sugarhill Gang to Sugarland, from Michael Bublé to Green Day, from Tina Turner to Bruce Springsteen, from Muse to Rise Against and many more. He is also a musician, a producer and the creator of essential modeled plug-ins and software for the next generation of audio professionals. DEREK "MixedbyAli" ALI
One of the most intriguing mixers in the hip hop world today is Derek "MixedbyAli" Ali. He is fairly a new face in the game but already has recorded and mixed chart topping albums, working alongside guys like Kendrick Lamar and learning directly from Dr. Dre to name a few.

GAVIN LURSSEN
Gavin Lurssen is the owner and principal engineer of Lurssen Mastering. He is a four-time Grammy Award winner. His Grammys include, two Grammy's for Album of the Year, one for Best Historical Recording and a Latin Grammy for Best Engineered album. He also has received two TEC Awards – one for Best Facility and one for Outstanding Work. Gavin has mastered albums for Foo Fighters, Ben Harper, Queens Of The Stone Age, Robert Plant & Alison Krauss, Eric Clapton, Miranda Lambert, Rickie Lee Jones, Elvis Costello and Ryan Adams - to name just a few. Soundtracks include the video game, Titanfall, the movies, Captain America, Cars 1 & 2, Tangled, the Nashville TV series, The Hunger Games, Crazy Heart and Ratatouille, amongst others.

SAMANTHA MALONEY
Samantha Maloney is known as one of the most respected female drummers in the music business. Samantha has played drums with such notable acts as Hole, Mötley Crüe, Eagles Of Death Metal, and Peaches, to name a few. Her musical talent expands beyond playing the drums, such as writing, producing, composing, and contributing to film soundtracks, including playing drums for Hans Zimmer's score of the Academy Award winning Black Hawk Down. She has also appeared in notable movies and on television, including having played a recurring role as "Sam" in Showtime's Emmy-nominated dark comedy, Californication. Samantha's proven to be a heavy hitter in the music industry, not only as an artist, but also a music manager and currently as Vice President of A&R at Warner Bros. Records, where she works today.
